Ultravox (formerly Ultravox!) were a British New Wave band that rose to prominence in the late 1970s/early 1980s.

They were one of the primary exponents of the British electronic pop music movement of the early 1980s.

The band was particularly associated with the New Romantic movement, although it both pre- and post-dated New Romanticism by several years.

This band had two major periods (1973 to 1979, and 1980 to 1986)in which it was, literally, "managed" by two different band leaders, whom, strangely enough, never played in the band at the same time.
